Typing is the reason half your tasks never get written down. You think of something with your hands full, promise you'll add it later, and don't. Ordo puts a single large microphone in the middle of the screen: tap it, say the thing, and stop talking — it notices the pause and closes the recording itself. The rings around the mic move with your actual voice, so you can see it hearing you rather than finding out afterwards.
This is where Ordo differs from every other voice to-do app. What you said doesn't drop into a list — it appears as a bubble in the middle of a triangle. Drag it up for red (Now), down-right for amber (Soon), down-left for green (Later). The corner charges as you approach, a stamp lands, and the bubble pops into the lane. A flick works as well as a full drag, and tapping a corner assigns it directly.
A flat list treats a dentist appointment and buying socks identically, which is why long lists stop being useful somewhere around item forty. Triage is the discipline that keeps emergency rooms working: sort on arrival, every time, no exceptions. Ordo applies the same rule to your day, and the intake badge nags until nothing is left unsorted.

You can type. The capture screen has two buttons, Speak and Type, and tapping Type turns the microphone into a text panel. You can decline the microphone permission entirely and still use the whole app.
Usually not. Ordo asks for on-device recognition wherever your language supports it, and the language picker marks those languages “Works offline”. Some languages can only be transcribed with help from Apple's servers, and Ordo won't send audio anywhere unless you switch that on yourself.
