When you create a trip, you choose a destination type (beach, city, mountain, cold, desert, countryside), a travel mode (plane, train, car, bus, boat), trip dates, and any activities you have planned. PCKR uses those inputs to build a categorized packing list — documents, clothing, toiletries, electronics, health & safety, accessories, and activity gear — sized for your trip length and season.
Yes! Going to a beach city, or a mountain town that's also a winter destination? You can combine multiple types and PCKR will merge the suggestions intelligently.
Weather forecasts come from Open-Meteo and are most accurate within about 14 days of your travel dates. For trips further out, PCKR may show historical averages for the same time of year so you still get a sense of what to expect.
The free tier lets you have up to 2 trips at a time. You can delete a trip to make room for a new one, or upgrade to PCKR Pro for unlimited trips.
PCKR Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks unlimited trips, detailed weather forecasts for your travel dates, real sightseeing recommendations for your actual destination, full activity-based packing suggestions, and the Editorial and Playful themes. No subscription, no recurring charges — pay once and it's yours.
PCKR ships with three full app themes:
- Minimal — clean and cozy, with a warm paper aesthetic. Free for everyone.
- Editorial — dark and bold with serif headlines. Pro only.
- Playful — fun and colorful with rounded cards. Pro only.
You can switch themes anytime from the theme picker — Pro themes show a preview even on the free tier so you can decide if they're for you.
No. PCKR Pro is a one-time in-app purchase. You pay once and Pro is unlocked on your Apple ID forever — there's no auto-renewal and nothing to cancel.
Refunds are handled by Apple. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find your PCKR Pro purchase, and request a refund. We don't process refunds directly because we never see the payment.
Make sure you're signed in to the same Apple ID, then open PCKR, go to settings, and tap "Restore Purchases". Your purchase will be detected and Pro features unlocked.
All your trips and packing lists are stored locally on your device. PCKR does not upload your trip data to any server, and we don't operate a backend that holds your personal information.
Not yet. Trips currently live on the device they were created on. If you'd like iCloud sync, let us know — it's on the roadmap.
Yes. You can add your own items, remove items you don't need, adjust quantities, and check items off as you pack. Your changes are saved to that trip only — the suggestions for new trips stay intact.
PCKR never asks for your device location. You enter your destination by name, and PCKR uses a free geocoding service to look up coordinates for that destination only — used solely to fetch the weather forecast.
You can view and edit existing trips offline. Weather forecasts, geocoding lookups, and real sightseeing data need an internet connection. Once fetched, weather and sightseeing data are cached with the trip so you can reference them on the plane.
No. PCKR contains no ads, no third-party analytics, no tracking SDKs, and no advertising identifiers. Both the free tier and PCKR Pro are completely ad-free.
