Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Ordo, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use.
License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Ordo for personal, non-commercial purposes.
Price
Ordo is free to download and free to use, with a limit of 6 live tasks on the board at a time. Ordo Pro lifts that limit and unlocks repeating tasks, the Pulse overview, and three additional colour palettes.
Ordo Pro is sold three ways: an auto-renewing monthly subscription at $2.99, an auto-renewing yearly subscription at $19.99 which begins with a 7-day free trial, or a one-time lifetime purchase at $34.99 which does not renew. Prices are in US dollars and may differ in your local storefront.
Auto-renewing subscriptions: payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of that period. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when a subscription is purchased. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings, or from Settings inside Ordo. There are no ads on any tier. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple's terms; restoring a previous purchase is available from within the app.
Your Content
- Tasks you capture in Ordo belong to you and are stored on your device. Ordo does not sync or upload them.
- Ordo does not claim any ownership of anything you write or dictate.
- You are responsible for what you record. Do not use Ordo to capture other people's speech without their knowledge or consent, and be aware that recording laws vary by country.
Speech Recognition
- Dictation is provided by Apple's speech recognition, built into iOS. Ordo requests on-device recognition wherever the selected language supports it.
- If you enable "Use Apple's servers when needed", audio for languages that require it is transmitted to Apple for transcription and is subject to Apple's terms and privacy policy. This setting is off by default.
- Transcription accuracy depends on Apple's recogniser, your language, your accent, and background noise. Ordo shows you the transcript before you commit it so you can correct or retype anything it got wrong. We make no warranty as to accuracy.
Reminders
- Reminders are delivered by iOS notifications. Their delivery depends on your notification settings, Focus modes, Low Power Mode, and the state of your device.
- Ordo is not a safety-critical system. Do not rely on it as the only mechanism for anything where a missed alert would cause harm — medication, medical appointments, legal deadlines, or similar. Keep an independent backup for those.
User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Use the app only for lawful purposes.
- Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the app.
- Not use the app in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it.
Data Loss Disclaimer
Ordo stores your tasks locally and does not sync or back them up to any service of ours. Deleting the app, resetting the device, or a device failure will remove your board. Device backups made through iCloud or a computer are handled by Apple and are outside our control. We are not responsible for lost tasks.
Disclaimer of Warranties
Ordo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every reminder will be delivered.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, Ordo — including missed reminders, mis-transcribed tasks, or lost data.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
