By downloading, installing, or using WAY, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use.
License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use WAY for personal, non-commercial purposes.
In-App Purchases
- WAY offers an optional one-time "WAY+" purchase that unlocks cosmetic features (pin themes, location trails, saved Festival Mode presets).
- WAY also offers an optional one-time tip.
- All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store.
- Refunds are handled according to Apple's refund policy.
- All safety and core location-sharing features are free and will remain free.
User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Use the app only for lawful purposes.
- Not use WAY to stalk, harass, or track anyone without their consent.
- Not attempt to reverse engineer or modify the app.
- Not use the app in any way that could damage or impair it.
- Respect the privacy and consent of the people you interact with through the app.
Location Sharing & Consent
WAY is designed around informed consent:
- No one can see your location without a deliberate opt-in action on your part.
- Adding someone as a friend does not automatically share your location with them.
- You can revoke sharing at any time via Ghost Mode, per-friend toggles, or share-code rotation.
Disclaimer
WAY is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. The app is intended to help friends locate each other and is not a substitute for emergency services. If you are in danger, contact your local emergency number.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to inaccurate location data, service interruptions, or misuse by other users.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Denmark.
