DailyFeels ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
Information We Collect
Mood Data
- The app stores your mood entries (timestamp and mood value) locally on your device.
- If you're signed into iCloud, this data syncs to your personal iCloud account.
- We do not have access to your mood data — it remains entirely under your control.
Advertising Data
- We use Google AdMob to display advertisements.
- AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data for personalized advertising.
- You can opt out of personalized ads through your device settings.
How We Use Your Information
- Mood Data: Used solely to display your mood history and statistics within the app.
- Advertising Data: Used by Google AdMob to serve relevant advertisements.
Data Storage
- All mood data is stored locally on your device using Apple's Core Data framework.
- If iCloud is enabled, data syncs via Apple's CloudKit to your personal iCloud account.
- We do not operate servers that store your personal data.
Third-Party Services
Google AdMob
- We use Google AdMob to display advertisements.

- App Tracking Transparency (ATT): On first launch, iOS will ask whether DailyFeels may use the Apple advertising identifier (IDFA) for tracking. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track," personalized advertising and the IDFA are disabled; you will still see non-personalized ads.
- You can change this choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, or opt out of personalized ads at the system level.
Apple iCloud
- If enabled, your data syncs via iCloud.

Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data — View all your mood entries in the app.
- Export your data — Use the Export Data feature in Settings.
- Delete your data — Use the Delete All Data feature in Settings.
- Opt out of personalized ads — Adjust settings on your device.
Data Deletion
To delete all your data:
- Open DailyFeels
- Go to Settings
- Tap "Delete All Data"
- Confirm deletion
This will permanently remove all mood entries from your device and iCloud.
Data Controller & Legal Rights (EU/UK/California)
The data controller for the limited data DailyFeels handles is muddermis, contactable at muddermister@gmail.com. Our lawful basis for processing is your consent (mood entries, ad preferences) and our legitimate interest in operating the app.
If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, California, or another region with comparable laws, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Object to or restrict processing (including the use of personalized advertising via the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt)
- Data portability where applicable
- Withdraw any consent you have given
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (for EU residents, the Danish Data Protection Agency — Datatilsynet — at datatilsynet.dk)
Because mood data is stored on your own device and in your personal iCloud account, you can exercise most of these rights directly by deleting entries in the app or deleting the app. For any other request, email us at muddermister@gmail.com.
Children's Privacy
DailyFeels is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where local law requires, such as under GDPR in parts of the EU) without verified parental consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children covered by these age limits.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
