QR SCNR ("the App") is a QR code and barcode scanner for iPhone. This policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
- Scanned Codes: The content of QR codes and barcodes you scan is stored locally on your device using Core Data. This data never leaves your device unless you choose to share it.
- Camera Access: The App uses your device camera solely to scan QR codes and barcodes. Camera data is processed in real-time and is not recorded, stored, or transmitted.
- Advertising Data: If you have not purchased the ad-free option, the App uses Google AdMob to display ads. Google may collect device identifiers and usage data as described in Google's Privacy Policy.
- Purchase Information: If you purchase the ad-free option, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store payment information.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Core Functionality: To scan, display, and store QR code and barcode content on your device.
- Scan History: To maintain a local history of your scans so you can revisit them later.
- Advertising: To display relevant ads via Google AdMob (if you have not purchased the ad-free option).
3. Data Storage & Security
- All scan history data is stored locally on your device using Core Data.
- No scan data is transmitted to our servers or any third party (unless you actively share it).
- Deleting the App will permanently remove all locally stored scan history.
4. Third-Party Services
- Google AdMob: Used to serve advertisements. Google's data practices are governed by their own Privacy Policy.
- Apple StoreKit: Handles in-app purchases. Apple's data practices are governed by their own Privacy Policy.
- We do not sell, rent, or otherwise monetize your personal information.
5. Your Choices & Rights
- Remove Ads: Purchase the one-time ad-free option to stop all advertising and associated data collection by Google AdMob.
- Delete Data: Clear your scan history at any time from within the App, or delete the App entirely.
- Camera Access: You can revoke camera access at any time in your device's Settings, though the App will not function without it.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where local law requires) without verified parental consent.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy for legal, technical, or operational reasons. Significant changes will be announced in-app.
