FRZR ("the App") helps you track freezer items and, if you choose, share that information with specific people you trust. This policy explains what data we collect, how it is used, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
- Freezer Inventory Data: The items you add, update, or remove (names, quantities, dates, notes).
- Sharing Participants: When you invite someone to a freezer, Apple's CloudKit sharing tells the app who has joined (the name and Apple Account identifier Apple provides for each participant) so it can show you who has access.
- Purchase Entitlement: If you unlock FRZR Premium, Apple tells the app only that a valid purchase exists. See section 5.
- Device & Diagnostics: If you have opted in to "Share With App Developers" in your iOS Settings (Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements), Apple provides us with anonymized crash reports including device model and iOS version. We do not collect this data ourselves and do not use any third-party analytics SDK.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Core Functionality: To store and sync your freezer inventory across your devices using iCloud.
- Optional Sharing: To share a freezer only with the people you personally invite. No data is shared automatically or publicly.
- Unlocking Premium: To check whether you are entitled to the optional FRZR Premium features.
3. Data Storage & Security
- All freezer data is stored in your private iCloud account using Apple's end-to-end encryption.
- We never see or store your iCloud password.
- All communications with iCloud use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS).
4. Third-Party Services
- Apple iCloud provides the cloud storage and sharing mechanism. Apple's own privacy policy governs their service.
- Apple StoreKit handles the optional FRZR Premium purchase. Apple's data practices are governed by their own Privacy Policy.
- There are no ads, no analytics SDKs, and no third-party trackers in the App.
- We do not sell, rent, or otherwise monetize your personal information.
5. In-App Purchases
- FRZR is free to download and offers one optional one-time purchase, FRZR Premium, which unlocks unlimited freezers, custom categories, and inviting others to freezers you own.
- The purchase is processed entirely by Apple. We never see or receive your payment details.
- FRZR receives only a verified entitlement from Apple's StoreKit indicating that a valid purchase exists. That entitlement is cached on your device so Premium keeps working offline.
- Because Premium is a one-time purchase, there is no auto-renewal, no subscription period, and nothing to cancel. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Declining the purchase never removes data you have already added.
6. Your Choices & Rights
- Control Sharing: Stop sharing a freezer, or remove individual participants, at any time in the App.
- Delete Data: Deleting the App or removing your iCloud data will delete your freezer inventory and any shared copies.
- Access & Correction: View or edit your inventory data directly within the App.
7. Data Controller & Legal Rights (EU/UK/California)
The data controller for the limited data FRZR handles is muddermis, contactable at muddermister@gmail.com. Our lawful basis for processing is your consent (when you choose to add or share inventory) and our legitimate interest in operating the app.
If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, California, or another region with comparable laws, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Object to or restrict processing
- Data portability where applicable
- Withdraw any consent you have given
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (for EU residents, the Danish Data Protection Agency — Datatilsynet — at datatilsynet.dk)
Because all inventory data is stored in your own iCloud account, you can exercise most of these rights directly by deleting items in the app, removing shared Apple IDs, or deleting the app entirely. For any other request, email us at muddermister@gmail.com.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where local law requires) without verified parental consent. FRZR contains a single optional in-app purchase that is gated behind the device's standard payment controls; parents can disable purchases using Screen Time / Ask to Buy.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy for legal, technical, or operational reasons. Significant changes will be announced in-app.
